Platform Settings
Platform settings control global behaviour that should not be configured separately by every store.
Campaign Limits
Platform admins can define manager campaign limits such as:
- maximum campaigns per store in 24 hours
- maximum campaigns per store in 7 days
- minimum spacing between campaigns
- pending scheduled campaign limits
These limits are shown in the notification composer and enforced server-side.
Defaults
Use conservative defaults while stores are learning the system. Relax limits only when there is a clear engagement strategy.
Operational Notes
Platform settings can affect all stores, so changes should be made deliberately and checked in audit history.
Recommended Starting Limits
For early beta stores, start conservatively:
- low daily campaign count
- low weekly campaign count
- meaningful spacing between campaigns
- small number of pending scheduled campaigns
This protects customers while store teams learn what messages are useful.
When To Increase Limits
Increase limits only when:
- the store has a clear campaign calendar
- unsubscribes or complaints are low
- campaigns are tied to genuine rewards or events
- managers understand audience targeting
Enforcement
Limits should be enforced server-side and transactionally, not only in the UI. The composer should explain the limits, but the API/database must still block excess campaigns.
