Customers

The Customers section shows people who use the mobile app and have interacted with Tapidu through taps, QR visits, WooCommerce orders, claims, or manual point adjustments.

Directory

Use the customer directory to search for accounts, review role labels, check store relationships, and open a customer profile.

Platform admins can see customers across the platform. Store owners and managers see customers connected to stores they can access.

Customers can also be store owners, managers, or staff. Their business role should not hide their customer profile, because the same person may earn points and claim rewards like any other customer.

Customer Profile

A customer profile can show:

  • account identity and app role
  • points by store
  • recent point activity
  • reward claims
  • manual adjustments
  • export/delete/archive controls where permitted

Store Balances

Customers may earn points from multiple stores. Store balances should be reviewed separately so manual adjustments, reward eligibility, and claim creation happen against the correct store.

If a customer has points from only one store, keep the experience simple. If they have multiple store balances, show the store context clearly in balances, rewards, claims, and activity.

Manual Point Adjustments

Admins can add or remove points for a selected store. Adjustments should include a clear reason because they are shown in activity and audit history.

Points should not be reduced below the customer’s available store balance.

Good adjustment reasons are short and specific:

  • “Refunded duplicate visit”
  • “Manager correction after failed scan”
  • “Goodwill points for event”
  • “Points removed after order cancellation”

Avoid vague reasons like “fixed” or “test” in production.

Promoting Customers

If a customer already has an app account, platform admins can promote that existing account to owner, manager, staff, or admin instead of creating a duplicate user.

Approving a business application should preserve the same customer account, points, rewards, and activity.

GDPR-Style Actions

Platform admins can export customer data and delete customer accounts where required. Export before deletion if the customer requested a copy of their data.

Archive when you need to hide an account from normal operations without destroying history. Delete only when it is legally or operationally required.
